Life After My Magellan

After looking back on my Magellan trip I am extremely glad I had decided to follow through with the process in applying for the Magellan. It has been about 3 weeks after my trip and I have experienced reverse culture shock. I came to the realization that we are too invested in money and the act of quantity over quality. I believe that life can be a lot better when you are not worrying about if you have everything the person next to you has. Life is such a special gift and to spend it worrying about what you have instead who you are with then you lose those sense of relationships that are worth more than a new pair of shoes. The life I lived in Botswana and in Zimbabwe taught me that you do not need much to feel like you are full. Relationships are worth more to the people down there and always being there to help your neighbor is just apart of their culture.
