The Magellan Project

The Magellan Project:

The Magellan Project is a unique independent research project opportunity provided by Washington & Jefferson College. It gives us, as students to travel and explore the world while discovering and researching more about a topic we feel strongly about. This was one of the top reasons I decided to study here at Washington & Jefferson College. There is an application process that you go through to be approved to go on a Magellan project. W&J provides majority of the funds to help along with funds from the student as well. This project will give me the opportunity to explore outside of my comfort zone to become a more independent, well-rounded, and a confident individual.

I have the opportunity to travel to Zimbabwe and Botswana for my Magellan project and I am excited to see what these countries have in store for me!!
